The only issue is that Exchange doesn&#8217;t quite handle multiple domain names very well, yes you can add aliases and easily create them within the exchange console, however the problem comes to &#8220;sending as&#8221; a different domain on the client machine (outlook) I managed to get this method working, although it may not be the best method, I&#8217;m couldn&#8217;t find any other solutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"3DMsoNormal\"><strong>Method 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a new user and mailbox.<\/li>\n<li>Set the default email address as\u00a0email@domain.co.uk<\/li>\n<li>Add full send as permissions to the\u00a0mailbox.<\/li>\n<li>Setup redirect so all email to\u00a0email@domain.co.uk\u00a0is forwarded to\u00a0email@domain2.com<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"3DMsoNormal\">This is good, but is messy as multiple user accounts are required\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"3DMsoNormal\"><strong>Method 2 (Preferred Method):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Setup a new distribution\u00a0list\u00a0email@domain.co.uk (remove the alias from users current profile to do\u00a0this)<\/li>\n<li>Add User as the manager of this list and the only\u00a0member<\/li>\n<li>Set the permissions for full send as via the\u00a0powershell\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"3DMsoNormal\">You can change mailbox permissions using two methods but<strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">only the powershell<\/span> <\/strong>method seems to work properly (so probably best to stick to this)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1) Via Powershell: Add-AdPermission &#8220;DL&#8221; -user &#8220;name.surname&#8221; -AccessRights extendedright -ExtendedRights &#8220;send as&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>2)\u00a0From the\u00a0&#8220;users and computers&#8221; selected the distribution group changed\u00a0to &#8220;Advanced&#8221; settings and edited the security on the DL to\u00a0add &#8220;user&#8221; to Full access&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve was asked to set up an additional domain name under Exchange 2007.
